Virginia Motorcyclist Blown Off Bridge

Garlon Turner, 60, was riding his motorcycle across the James River Bridge in Newport News Satuurday, April 17 when a high gust of wind blew his bike across the bridge sending him over the railing.  According to Sgt. Michelle Cotton of the Virginia State Police, he died at the scene.  This tragic incident serves as a reminder that no matter how careful motorcyclists are, the very nature of the sport can leave riders vulnerable to unforeseen dangers through no fault of their own.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Turner's family.
