DC Regional Traffic Planning Should Promote More Bike and Rail Use!

DC regional planners have got it all wrong.  Their solution to the horrendous traffic problems here in our nation's capital is to simply build more and more roads and highways.   Say what?  Doesn' that simply encourage more and more people to use their cars for transportation?   If you agree with me that more resources should be devoted to encouraging bicycle and light rail use for commuting, check out the attached article here and file your comments  on the pending "Greater Washington 2050" regional task force plan.  Pro auto groups like AAA and others are weighing in heavily on this, and simply dismiss any solutions other than "build roads everywhere."  Come on guys.  I say we can do better.  It's time for some fresh thinking on this, and your input can make a difference.  Send in your comments today.
